The Haemimont Foundation is proud to have been a sponsor of the international Logic Colloquium 2009 at Sofia University, held from 31 July to 5 August.

The Logic Colloquium is the annual European conference on logic, organised under the auspices of the Association for Symbolic Logic (ASL). The gathering provides a forum for presenting and discussing new developments in the area of logic. The conference attracts researchers from logic, with an emphasis on mathematical logic, but also includes researchers from computer science logic and philosophical logic. In previous years, the Logic Colloquium was held in the following locales:

Astea Solutions AD, an entity affiliated with the Haemimont Foundation, was also a sponsor of the Logic Colloquium 2009. The publishing of the book, Thracian Cult Architecture, by Malvina Rousseva, RA, PhD, was sponsored and financed by the Haemimont Foundation in 2000. Text translations were provided by Nikolina Panova. This wonderfully-illustrated survey of Thracian cult studies and buildings is divided into three parts: Part One: Studies of Thracian Tombs; Part Two: Thracian Cult Architecture In Tumuli: Considerations; and Part Three: Cult Buildings In Tumuli.

The first project was a new ramp that allowed wheelchair access to classrooms at FMI. The surrounding area was also landscaped with rose plantings and outdoor seating for students and faculty.

The second project for 2007 was the restoration of a campus monument and its park-like surroundings. This locale has become a favorite resting and reflection spot for FMI students, faculty, and visitors to the university.

The Haemimont Foundation is very pleased to announce that it received the Partner #1 for 2007 Award from the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of the University of Sofia “St Kliment Ohridski”.

The awards ceremony took place at the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics on May 18, 2007, during which the Dean distributed other honors and prizes to members of the faculty and student body. The backdrop for the awards ceremony was the university’s traditional commemoration of May as the Month of Culture and May 24th as the Slavic Day of Literacy.

This honor was bestowed on the Haemimont Foundation in recognition of its recent contributions to and longstanding support of the Faculty for Mathematics and Informatics.
